Frequently Asked JCT Festival Transport Questions

How do I book my ticket?

Super easy! 🙌 Just:

1️⃣ Pick your time & location and add it to your cart.

2️⃣ Want a return trip? Add a second time slot for the way back (yep, they’re separate tickets).

Lost? Check out our How It Works page for a quick guide.

When will I get my bus details?

We’ll keep you in the loop! 📲

  • You’ll get a confirmation by SMS & email when you book.
  • About a week before you leave, we’ll send your bus rego, bus number, driver’s name, phone number, and all your trip details (including your return if you booked it).

What happens if I miss my bus?

Don’t stress (too much)! 😅 Our buses get to pick-up spots 1 hour early, so you’ve got plenty of time. If you still miss it, email us at info@jctcoaches.com and we’ll try to slot you on the next bus.

Heads up: If the next bus leaves from a different location, it’s on you to get there!

What happens if my festival is cancelled or rescheduled?

If the event’s cancelled, you’ll get 50% of your ticket price back. 🎟️

Need to cancel? No stress.

We get it — plans change. Here’s the deal:

  1. Full refund if you cancel 5 business days or more before your trip.
  2. 50% refund if you cancel with 3–4 business days’ notice.
  3. No refunds if you cancel less than 3 business days out (by then, your seat’s already locked in and paid for).

Just shoot us an email at info@jctcoaches.com if you need to cancel.

We don’t want to take your money unless we’re actually taking you to the festival — but last-minute changes are tough because we’ve already organised your spot.

What if the festival is cancelled?

Total bummer, we know. 😔 If the festival is completely cancelled, you’ll get 80% of your ticket back.

We do keep 20% to cover processing fees and the buses/drivers we’ve already locked in — but we’ll get the rest back to you ASAP so you’re not left hanging.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes! You can transfer your ticket, but you’ll need to email us first so we can manually update our system with the new passenger’s details.

Are there toilets on the bus?

Some of our buses are equipped with onboard toilets. For those that aren’t, don’t worry — we’ve done this for years and know the best stop-off points for bathroom breaks and snacks along the way.

Is there a stop along the way?

A: Of course! We’ve been running festival routes for years, so we know how it goes — everyone wants that KFC run, a coffee, or a last-minute supply stop before heading into the festival. Our drivers know the routes and the best spots, and trust us, they want that KFC and coffee just as much as you do.

How do I find my bus on the way back?

We make it super easy! 📲 Before you even get to the festival, we’ll send you a brochure with photos, a description, and the rego (number plate) of your exact bus. 🚌

When it’s time to head home, just make your way to the designated charter bus pick-up area at the festival — your bus will be waiting for you there. No stress, no confusion, just hop on and relax! ✨

How much luggage can we bring?

All our buses are designed for long-haul journeys and have extra-large storage bins, so there’s plenty of space. As a general rule, we recommend:

  1. 1 big bag,
  2. 1 backpack, and
  3. 1 tent per person.

We want to make sure everyone has enough room for their gear — so please keep it reasonable (no one wants to be that person taking up the whole bin with 10 bags).

How much alcohol can we bring?

Please check your festival’s guidelines for rules on alcohol. 🥂 We’re independent from festival organisers, so it’s important that whatever you bring complies with their rules. Make sure you stick to the limits so there are no issues when you arrive.

Can I book a private bus for me and my friends?

Absolutely! 🎉 You can book a private bus just for your crew. We’ll pick you up and drop you off wherever you want so you can roll in together, stress-free. 🚍✨ Spots are limited though, so book early!

What if none of the times suit us?

No worries — just send us an email at info@jctcoaches.com. If there’s enough demand, we’ll look into opening a new time slot for you. 🕒

Which festivals do you go to?

Please check our current festival catalogue to see which events we’re servicing. 🎶 We’ll be adding more festivals as they’re confirmed, so keep an eye out for updates! The catalogue always shows what’s currently available.

What if I don’t want to bring my luggage all the way across Melbourne to hop on the bus?

No worries! 🙌 You’ve got two options:

1️⃣ Book a private bus and we’ll come straight to you.

2️⃣ Jump on one of our area-based buses — we’ve got different buses running from all over Melbourne so you can catch one close by. Keep an eye out for more routes releasing soon! 🗺️🎶

Can I drink alcohol on the bus?

No drinking on board, but pre-game before you hop on!

What if I miss the bus on the way back because i'm lit?

⏳ Be on time!  Our buses will be there 1 hour before the return departure time (Eg, Bus will be there at 21:00 for a 22:00 Departure. We run on a set schedule and can’t wait. No refunds for missed departures.

Is JCT Festivals a direct supplier for these festivals?

Nope — JCT Festivals is an independent transport provider. 🚍 We’re not directly affiliated with or contracted by the festival organisers (trust me, we wish we were!). Unfortunately, as a medium-sized family business, the big contracts usually go to massive companies — and yes, I’ve tried so many times to get in. 😅

In previous years, we’ve run loads of private bus bookings for groups, but we found most people struggled to pull enough friends together to make it worthwhile. So this year, we’re making it way easier for everyone — by offering shared buses with convenient pick-up points all across Melbourne, so you can get to your festival stress-free without needing a whole crew to fill a bus. 🎶

How much does a ticket cost?
